CIMA syllabus

The CIMA qualification consists of the following levels:
Foundation level:
Leading to CIMA Certification in Business Accounting.

The Strategic Level:
The Strategic level has been developed to focus on key strategic issues and business practices. It consists of three papers, each building on the content within the relevant pillars at the Managerial level. Through these exams you will develop the top-level skills needed by senior management and directors
 
 
The Managerial level:
Leading to the Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
The number sequence and grouping of papers studied at Managerial level is completely flexible.
Individuals may choose any combination of papers to suit their own study requirements. However, it is recommended that students should sit between two and four papers at any single examination sitting.
Student must pass all of the Managerial Stage before attempting the Strategic Level Subjects can be taken in any order, and in any combinations of subjects.
50% pass mark - permanent credits awarded for a 50% or more score.
 
 
 
TOPCIMA:
Test for Professional Competence in Management Accounting.
TOPCIMA is the final exam after completion of all other exams in line with guidelines produced by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).
It is based upon a case study and set within a simulated business context. By passing this exam candidate will prove the ability to transfer strategic and practical knowledge to a real life business situation.
The TOPCIMA has no specific syllabus content. Material from any of the Managerial and Strategic level subjects could be relevant.
